Paper Trading

Practice trading crypto, stocks, and prediction markets on Liquid with simulated funds. Paper trading uses live market prices with no real money at risk.

Every Liquid account includes a paper trading mode: simulated capital on the same live markets, with real prices and real order mechanics but no real money at risk. Use it to learn the platform, test a strategy, or try Co-Invest before you go live.

Paper Trading in the App

  1. Open your Profile.

  2. Switch on Paper Trading.

  3. Trade any market exactly as you would live. Paper positions, PnL, and history are kept separate from your real account.

  4. Switch back to live trading at any time from the same toggle.

Paper trading contests let you compete against other traders on simulated PnL. See the Contests tab for current competitions.

Paper Trading with Co-Invest

Tell Co-Invest to switch to paper mode in any connected assistant. You get a simulated $10,000 balance running against live market data. Every response is explicitly labeled as simulated, and no order reaches the exchange.

  • Reset the balance any time: "reset my paper account."

  • Check which mode you are in: "am I paper trading?"

  • Go live when ready: "go live" or "go back to live trading."

The Co-Invest paper setting persists between conversations until you change it. It is scoped to that connector, so paper mode in Claude does not change the Liquid app or other clients.
